Kia, also known as Kia Comedy, is an entertainer, writer, and activist who is currently touring the country with her signature “Lez Laugh” and “Queer Comedy” shows. No stranger to the fashion scene, Kia served as producer of the "Dapper" and "Ice" The Andro Fashion Shows. She has been on the Wendy Williams show, and Kia has performed with many prominent comedians, including Luenell, Comedian Shang, and TK Kirkland. Kia is also the host of SVTV Network’s “Queer Comedy Jam,” which features the best LGBTQ comedians from all over the country.
Kia uses her entertainment platform to encourage acceptance, diversity, and unity in all communities. She does so by sharing her experiences growing up in church, as an educator, as number 11 of 12 siblings. Kia recently completed a Fulbright Research Fellowship to study abroad in Belize, and her research is published and implemented in American curricula and potentially in classrooms throughout the country.
Kia has also had several articles published, including many in “Curve” Magazine, the most heavily circulated lesbian periodical, and Kia was also be featured in the November 2016 issue of “Glamour Magazine.” Kia is a speaker for Georgia Equality and an advocate and activist in the LGBTQ community. For those reasons, Kia knew the community would appreciate the opportunity to see Dapper, Masculine-Identified Lesbians in only the finest menswear. “So often we’re forced to pretend to act and be like someone we are not. Hailing from Hamilton, NJ by way of Daytona Beach, FL, Alexis or “Lex” is a woman of many hats. With a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling,Alexis provides counseling services to incarcerated youth and individuals with developmental disabilities. A devote Christian and religion philosophy minor, Alexis has taken mission trips on the path of discipleship; her last being to an orphanage in Haiti for Christmas. In her spare time Alexis is a business owner and published model. She recently launched The Exception Thrift Store; an online resale powerhouse for vintage finds.
Alexis has been modeling for 8 years after being introduced to the modeling world through Faces modeling troupe. Alexis currently spends her time in Atlanta as a print and runway model. She was featured on the cover of Savi magazine and within the pages of many other local Atlanta magazines. Alexis has been in hundreds of shows over the years including PPG battle of the bodies, Denim and Desserts & The Andro Fashion Show. Runway etiquette and model coaching isn't new to Alexis as she independently coaches models and served as the fashion coordinator to many models during her time spent with Faces modeling troupe. She is currently one of the modeling coaches for The Andro Fashion Show. Additionally, Alexis serves as the face of many brands such as Bobbie co. Designs by Eye, Trends and Treasures and Custom Creatives. In her down time, Alexis plays wide receiver for the Atlanta Lady Tigers
